Warm cinematic look

SHUTO WARM

¥4,700

Warm, calm, cinematic color for your footage — made to draw out soft light and a quietly nostalgic mood.

Made for
Street and snapshots, travel and vlogs, everyday scenes, people and portraits. Especially good for footage that should keep the warmth of the light and a gentle atmosphere: afternoon sun, dusk, and streets in beige and brown tones.

Footage
Built for Sony S-Log3 / S-Gamut3.Cine. The Rec.709 conversion is included, so apply it straight to the Log footage without a separate conversion LUT.

Log from other camera makers
In DaVinci Resolve's Color Space Transform (CST), set Input Color Space and Input Gamma to the original settings your footage was shot in.
Set Output Color Space to S-Gamut3.Cine and Output Gamma to S-Log3, then apply this LUT after it.
Results vary with your footage, so adjust exposure and white balance as needed.

License
One-time purchase, permanent license. Commercial use, including client work, is allowed.

How to install

DaVinci Resolve (recommended)

1. Load the LUT
Click the gear at the bottom right (Project Settings) → Color Management → under Lookup Tables, click Open LUT Folder → copy SHUTO_STANDARD_v1.cube into the folder that opens → click Update Lists.

2. Check your color settings
In the same Color Management page, make sure Color science is set to DaVinci YRGB and Timeline color space to Rec.709 Gamma 2.4. With DaVinci YRGB Color Managed or ACES, another conversion runs before the LUT and the color can break.

3. Apply the LUT
Open the Color page and select your S-Log3 clip → right-click a node in the Node Editor → LUTs → choose SHUTO_STANDARD_v1. We recommend doing exposure and white balance in nodes before the LUT, and keeping the LUT node last.

4. Log footage from other camera makers

5. If it looks wrong
If the image turns dark or the color looks too heavy right after applying, your footage may already be in Rec.709 (a conversion LUT is already applied, or the camera recorded in Rec.709), or the settings in step 2 may be different.

Other software (in every case, apply it directly to the Log footage — no conversion LUT in front)
Premiere Pro: Lumetri Color → Creative → the Look dropdown → Browse and load the file
Final Cut Pro: add the Custom LUT effect → Choose Custom LUT → select the .cube
CapCut: Adjust → Color → LUT → import the .cube from your device

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Can I use these on footage shot with a phone?
For footage from a phone that can record in Log: in DaVinci Resolve's Color Space Transform (CST), set Input Color Space and Input Gamma to the original settings your footage was shot in. Set Output Color Space to S-Gamut3.Cine and Output Gamma to S-Log3, then apply this LUT after it. Results vary with your footage, so adjust exposure and white balance as needed. Applied straight to footage shot in a normal (non-Log) mode, the conversion runs twice and the result turns dark. The .cube also loads in apps that support it, such as CapCut.
Which camera's Log footage are these built for?
It is built for footage shot in Sony S-Log3 / S-Gamut3.Cine. Apply it directly to the Log footage — do not put a conversion LUT in front of it. Layered onto footage that has already been brought to Rec.709, the conversion runs twice and the result turns dark and muddy. For Log footage from other makers, such as Panasonic V-Log or Canon C-Log: in DaVinci Resolve's Color Space Transform (CST), set Input Color Space and Input Gamma to the original settings your footage was shot in. Set Output Color Space to S-Gamut3.Cine and Output Gamma to S-Log3, then apply this LUT after it. Results vary with your footage, so adjust exposure and white balance as needed.
Why does the color look different after export?
This happens when the export color space differs from the one you edited in. Match the timeline and the export color space and try again.
